Dear Colleagues, We are hiring for multiple positions in a new ambitious project supported by the NIH U01 grant from the BICAN consortium (please see the announcement<https://www.nimh.nih.gov/news/science-news/2022/nih-brain-initiative-launch…>). Combining optical physiology in vivo with spatial transcriptomics and electron microscopy, we aim to link cell types of the mouse cortex with their function. The project is led by Marina Garrett (Allen Institute), Jack Waters (Allen Institute), Jerry Chen (Boston University), and Anton Arkhipov (Allen Institute). *(posting on behalf of Dr. Salvador Dura-Bernal)* An NIH-funded Postdoc or Software Developer position is now available in the Dura-Bernal Lab <http://dura-bernal.org/> at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Health Sciences (Brooklyn, New York). The position is focused on multiscale modeling of the brain, more specifically, developing a co-simulation interface between the NetPyNE <http://www.netpyne.org/> and The Virtual Brain <http://dura-bernal.org/www.thevirtualbrain.org> (TVB) tools, which will link the molecular, cellular, circuit and whole-brain network scales. The resulting multiscale models will help interpret experimental data ranging from single cell recordings and LFP up to EEG and fMRI.
