Dear colleagues, I am delighted to announce that the School of Data Science at the University of Virginia (USA) is seeking a postdoctoral researcher. This position is dedicated to advancing our understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder through the evaluation of new biomarkers in neuroimaging data. The School of Data Science, founded in 2019 and the first of its kind in the nation, offers a unique multidisciplinary environment, where candidates can expand their professional network through collaborations with various departments and institutes across UVA, such as Psychology and the Brain Institute. Candidates must possess a terminal degree in computer science, neuroscience, psychology, engineering, physics, mathematics, or related discipline by the start date of the position. Preference will be given to applicants that possess the following: * Established experience in analyzing neuroimaging data (fMRI and/or diffusion MRI) and/or machine/deep learning. * Experience with statistical/scientific programming languages (expertise in Python, Matlab, and/or R preferred). * Topical expertise in statistical and computational approaches (e.g., regression, clustering, signal processing). * Demonstrated ability to complete projects as evidenced by first-author publications. The position offers an exciting opportunity to develop and use state-of-the-art methods to build a free browser-based solution to allow simulation and fitting of common computational models, with the final milestone of 12 months to have a working beta version. The role will primarily involve software engineering/programming the Hypatia site, retaining a core knowledge of computational modelling as it relates to health care, neuroscience, and psychology, and liaising with project consultants to develop the UX/UI, backend support, and aesthetics of the platform. There is significant opportunity for skill development, including gaining experience of industry liaison, translational neuroscience, and computational modelling expertise. The project team will consist of a dedicated postdoctoral researcher and research assistant. Positions available! Do you have a strong background in cognitive and computational neuroscience and a desire to contribute to the cutting edge of consciousness research? Two postdoctoral research positions and three PhD positions are now available at the Sussex Centre for Consciousness Science (SCCS; https://www.sussex.ac.uk/research/ccs/) The SCCS is a University of Sussex Centre of Excellence and an internationally prominent group in consciousness science. The positions are supported by an ERC Advanced Investigator Grant (project CONSCIOUS; 2 postdocs and 2 PhDs) and by the SCCS, via the School of Informatics and Engineering (1 PhD). The postdoc positions funded for 2 years with possible extension for another 2, starting as soon as suitable candidates are identified. The PhD positions are fully funded (for both UK and overseas candidates) for 3.5 years, starting in September 2024 (earlier start may be negotiable). The ERC positions are all within the broad remit of computational (neuro)phenomenology, exploring different applications of a predictive processing view of conscious perception. The Center for Theoretical and Computational Neuroscience (ctcn.wustl.edu) at Washington University in St Louis invites applications from outstanding Postdoctoral Fellows to work at the interface between theoretical and experimental labs at WashU. *NeuroBridges 2024* *A Mediterranean, Middle Eastern Summer School in Neuroscience* *Deadline to apply: April 1st, 2024* *NeuroBridges 2024* is a summer school which will take place between *September 15 and September 26, 2024* in Le Centre de Conferences Internationales de Cluny, France (CCIC) <https://streaklinks.com/B3KCp_jAQOMpwC7dQwRSV3xc/https%3A%2F%2Fcollegecluny…>. The school will provide an overview of theoretical and experimental frameworks used to study a variety of *decision making* processes.
