Postdoctoral Position in Computational Neuroscience for a Female Researcher
Dear colleagues, A *12-month postdoctoral position, with the possibility of extension*, is available at the *Institute of Physics, Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL), <https://if.ufal.br/en/graduacao/master-phd-in-physics> Brazil*, under the supervision of *Prof. Fernanda Selingardi Matias <https://cienciapioneira.org/en/pesquisador/fernanda-matias-2/>*. The position is funded by the *Brilhante Mente project* (CNPq/MCTI/MMulheres Call No. 31/2023 – *Girls in Exact Sciences, Engineering, and Computing*) and is *open to female researchers holding a PhD*. *The position focuses on the development and application of methods from Statistical Physics, Information Theory, and Complex Systems to neuroscience data*. The researcher will have the opportunity to work at the interface between *statistical physics, complex systems, computational neuroscience, and data analysis*, contributing to the development of quantitative approaches for characterizing brain dynamics. The position also offers opportunities for interaction and collaboration with researchers working in *neuroscience and computational neuroscience within UFAL and the broader Brazilian research community*. *Qualifications: A female researcher holding a PhD in physics, neuroscience, computational neuroscience, applied mathematics, computer science, or a related quantitative field*. Experience with data analysis, computational methods, statistical physics, information theory, neuroscience, or related areas is highly desirable.
