Applications are sought from candidates interested in PhD research in Computer Science. Deadline for applications: 10th March 2019. One particular area of interest is machine learning and computational intelligence. Possible projects include: . machine learning applied to medical imaging data (e.g. x-ray, EEG, MRI), bioinformatics data (e.g. virus evolution) or astronomy data (e.g. exoplanet discovery and analysis); . machine learning synthesis of realistic scenarios and interactions in virtual worlds; . complexity and learnability analysis of deep learning architectures; . evolutionary learning of deep networks.
