Details, below: 'Selection: the very keel on which our mental ship is built' * A symposium in honour of Professor Peter Redgrave Friday 30th January 2015 *William James, 1890 Professor Peter Redgrave has recently retired from a long and illustrious career in teaching and research, most latterly at the Department of Psychology in the University of Sheffield. As a neuroscientist, his research into the basal ganglia and the role of the neurotransmitter dopamine therein has been world leading. To celebrate this achievement, we have invited a number of Professor Redgrave's collaborators and peers from around the world to give talks which we are sure will educate and entertain us in equal measure.
