The Coupled Minds Lab at Texas A&M University is recruiting PhD students to join the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences in Fall 2027. Our lab studies how conversations shape the way people connect, change their minds, and learn, using fMRI hyperscanning, natural language processing, and computational modeling. We investigate how people explore ideas together, build consensus, and learn through interactions with both human and AI partners. We welcome interest from students excited about social neuroscience, naturalistic interaction, and computational approaches to understanding human behavior. The application deadline is December 1, 2026. Further information is available here: * Lab website: https://coupled-minds.github.io/ * Program and application information: https://artsci.tamu.edu/psychological-brain-sciences/academics/graduate/phd-... I’d be happy to hear from prospective applicants and discuss their research interests and fit with the lab. Please also feel free to share this announcement with students or research assistants who might be interested.
