Dear colleagues, We are pleased to announce the Workshop on Whole-Brain Models and High-Order Interactions for Brain Health, which will take place at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), Palma de Mallorca, Spain, from 17 to 20 November 2026. The workshop will bring together PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and early-career scientists interested in understanding how cognition, ageing and disease emerge from large-scale brain dynamics. Participants will be introduced to a range of theoretical and computational frameworks currently shaping systems neuroscience, including whole-brain modelling, machine learning, complex systems approaches and high-order information-theoretic methods. Through lectures, tutorials and interactive discussions, participants will learn how these tools can be used to bridge neural activity, cognition and brain health. Scientific topics include: • Whole-brain computational modelling • High-order interactions and multivariate information theory • Complex systems and network neuroscience • Machine learning in brain ageing and brain health • Neuroimaging and electrophysiology • Mechanistic approaches to cognition and disease A distinctive feature of the workshop is the close interaction between participants and faculty. Throughout the programme, attendees will work in interdisciplinary teams to develop original research proposals and receive direct feedback from internationally recognized researchers. The workshop is designed not only as a training opportunity but also as a platform for building future collaborations across disciplines and institutions.
