Junior Scientists Workshop on Recent Advances in Theoretical Neuroscience, 3-7 June 2024, Trieste (Italy)
We are delighted to announce the upcoming "Workshop on Recent Advances in Theoretical Neuroscience" taking place from June 3rd to 7th, 2024, at ICTP in Trieste, Italy. The workshop is addressed to early- and mid-career researchers, and will explore the topics of dynamics, plasticity, and computation in neural circuits. *Program overview* The program is structured around a series of in-depth morning presentations delivered by invited speakers, with an emphasis on both mathematical tools and biological implications. In the afternoons, participants will share their own research through contributed talks and poster presentations. The primary objective of this program is to foster a collaborative and prolific exchange of ideas among emerging scientists in the field of Theoretical Neuroscience. *Invited speakers* - Blake Bordelon, Harvard University, USA - Alex Cayco Gajic, Ecole Normale Superieure, France - Lea Duncker, Stanford University, USA - Rodrigo Echeveste, Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Argentina - Sukbin Lim, New York University Shanghai, China - Laureline Logiaco, MIT, USA - Marcelo Mattar, New York University, USA - Ulises Pereira, Allen Institute, USA - Alessandro Sanzeni, Bocconi University, Italy - Marine Schimel, Cambridge University, UK - James Whittington, Stanford University, USA *Venue* The workshop will be held at the ICTP Adriatico Guesthouse, a conference facility nestled beside the charming Grignano harbor, just a few minutes' walk from the iconic Miramare Castle. *Registration* There is no registration fee. Additionally, a limited number of grants are available to **fully support** the attendance of selected participants, with priority given to participants joining from the **developing countries**. ICTP can also assist with visa applications. Please note the early deadline for financial/visa support (see below). *Abstract submission* All participants are encouraged to submit an abstract summarizing their ongoing research, eligible for consideration for a poster presentation or a contributed talk.
