Postdoctoral positions are available in the Savin group in the Center for Neural Science and Center for Data Science at NYU: https://www.savinlab.org/ For full consideration, please apply before June 1 2026. We seek candidates with a solid mathematical background, strong programming skills and experience with computational modeling and/or data analysis who can engage with one of several projects in the group focused on understanding the computational principles and circuit level mechanisms underlying adaptive behavior, in partnership with several experimental collaborators (Constantinople lab at NYU, SCENE, Froemke and Lin labs as part of a new BBQS project analyzing mice social behavior). Qualifications: * PhD in Computational Neuroscience, machine learning or related fields. * Strong background in machine learning and programming (Python). * Of particular interest are candidates with previous research experience in probabilistic machine learning, statistical methods for neural data analysis, reinforcement learning. * Strong record of productivity as evidenced by past publications * Strong motivation & ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
