postdoctoral position in computational neuroscience in Barcelona
The Computational Neuroscience Group at the Centre de Recerca Matemàtica in Barcelona, Spain is looking for applicants for a postdoctoral position. Applicants will apply through a call from the Barcelona Graduate Schoool of Mathematics when it appears, most likely sometime this month, November 2015. There are a total of four positions in all areas of mathematics and as such this call will be highly competitive. Candidates with a very strong mathematics background and interest in computational neuroscience are encouraged to apply. No previous neuroscience experience is required. Possible projects include: 1 - the role of connectivity and plasticity in shaping network dynamics, 2 - network models of memory formation and consolidation, 3 - the role of neuronal synchrony in information transfer and binding.
