We are excited to announce an opportunity for a PhD or Postdoctoral researcher to join our lab at the University of Marburg, starting as soon as possible. This position is funded by the prestigious DFG CRC/TRR 393 consortium, a long-term, multicenter project dedicated to understanding the trajectories of affective disorders. The position is initially for two years, with the possibility of extension up to an additional three years (maximum of five years). What You Will Bring: - A strong motivation to advance the understanding of mental health disorders. - A solid background in Dynamical Systems Theory, Machine Learning, Generative Visual AI, and Neuroimaging. - Proficiency in coding - Excellent command of the English language in writing and speaking. What You Can Expect From Us: - Access to one of the most unique infrastructures in this field including full access to multiple multimodal unique large datasets (N > 3000) in the field, including fMRI, DTI, EEG, and EMA. - Ample computational resources (dedicated CPU, GPU, and RAM) tailored to your needs. - - Collaboration with a highly motivated interdisciplinary team with backgrounds in Engineering, Physics, Psychology, and Medicine. - Strong national and international collaborations through projects like The Adaptive Mind (TAM, https://www.theadaptivemind.de/) and the Center for Mind, Brain, and Behavior (CMBB, https://www.cmbb-fcmh.de/de), and partnerships with labs in the UK, Netherlands, Germany, and the USA. - Dedicated travel funding and the ability to run your own studies.
