A postdoctoral position is available in the group of Cian O'Donnell at University of Bristol, UK (https://seis.bristol.ac.uk/~co15268). You would work on understanding learning and memory using computational/mathematical modelling of synaptic plasticity, bringing in ideas from the fields of systems biology and machine learning/statistics. Local collaborators on the project will be Nick Whiteley (Mathematics; https://sites.google.com/view/nickwhiteley/) and Tom Gorochowski (Life Sciences; https://biocomputelab.github.io). You would also be joining our lively Bristol Computational Neuroscience Unit: https://bristolcnu.github.io The position is funded for up to three years by a grant from the Leverhulme Trust titled "Generalisable neural learning using noisy synapses".
