PhD and Postdoc in Cognitive Control, Communication and Perception
The Faculty of Psychology, Higher School of Economics (HSE, Moscow) is pleased to announce a number of post-doctoral and PhD student positions at the new research group for Cognitive Control, Communication and Perception, which is currently being established at HSE, Center for Neuroeconomics and Cognitive Studies. This new international group will operate in collaboration with the Centre of Functionally Integrative Neuroscience at Aarhus University (Denmark), Psychology Department at Northumbria University Newcastle (UK), and other international collaborators. Our key international coordinators are Professor Yury Shtyrov (Aarhus) and Dr Andriy Myachykov (Northumbria). The postholders will have an advantage of being able to further define and expand the newly established research program. Potential topics include (but are not limited to): neural dynamics of language comprehension, automaticity and top-down control in communication, sensory-motor integration in cognitive functions, embodied cognition, interactions between domain-specific and domain-general cognitive systems, neurocognitive bases of language acquisition, studies of communication deficits (e.g. aphasia) etc. Research facilities include multi-channel EEG, navigated TMS-EEG and eye- tracking equipment, all recently installed at the Faculty, as well as local access to MEG, fMRI and a range of neurological populations.
