Scientific Reports' "Illusions of the Mind" Collection: Final Submission Deadline extended to August 1st, 2025

Scientific Reports: Call for Papers - Illusions of the Mind <https://www.nature.com/collections/cjaajgjfgf> Collection (Final Extended Deadline: August 1st, 2025). Dear Colleagues, Scientific Reports is currently welcoming submissions of original research to a Collection on Illusions of the Mind <https://www.nature.com/collections/cjaajgjfgf> . The Collection is now open for manuscript submissions. An illusion is an inaccurate perception of a real external object, indicating a sensory or cognitive distortion. Illusions might be experienced by anyone, but they might also be prevalent in individuals with certain neurological or psychiatric conditions (e.g., schizophrenia). Thus, their investigation can provide useful insights into our understanding of the neural processes underlying perception and cognition. This Collection welcomes original research articles in the areas of Psychology, Psychiatry, and Neuroscience, reporting empirical studies on Illusions of the Mind. Submissions will be considered through August 1st, 2025, at this link <https://author-welcome.nature.com/41598> . All manuscripts submitted to a Collection are assessed according to the standard Scientific Reports editorial criteria and peer review process and are subject to all <https://www.nature.com/srep/journal-policies/editorial-policies> standard journal policies. The editors for this Collection are: Alexander De Foe, PhD <mailto:alexander.defoe1@monash.edu> , Stephen Macknik, PhD <mailto:Stephen%20Macknik%20%3csmacknik@gmail.com%3e> & Susana Martinez-Conde, PhD <mailto:Martinez-Conde%20Susana%20%3csmart@neuralcorrelate.com%3e> . Please feel free to share this call with your colleagues and collaborators. Thank you for your interest, Susana Martinez-Conde ----------------------------------------------------------------- Susana Martinez-Conde, PhD Professor Ophthalmology/Neurology/Phys&Pharm SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University 450 Clarkson Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11203
