Post doc in computational neuroscience (Centre for Systems Neuroscience - University of Leicester, UK) Spike sorting is the classification of single neurons from extra cellular recordings based on their spike shapes. The main focus of your research will be the study and implementation of optimal spike detection and sorting techniques. For this you will study different techniques to improve the spike detection and sorting results and will then implement these advances in a graphic user interphase and in batch codes to run in matlab.
