Senior Research Technician Post (EEG) at University of Cambridge
------------------------------------------- Senior Research Technician (Part-Time, EEG) ------------------------------------------- An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Research Technician to be part of an ambitious and pioneering experimental research programme on mother-infant brain-to-brain synchrony. You will join a dynamic new infant neuroimaging lab headed by Dr Victoria Leong in the Department of Psychology, University of Cambridge. Your primary responsibility will be to set up, optimise and maintain a new state-of-the art, mobile (wireless) dual-EEG system for simultaneous neuroimaging of adults and infants in a naturalistic setting. You will provide day-to-day technical support to members of the research team, and you will also be required to provide assistance during EEG experimental sessions with mothers and infants. The lab has a strong focus on methods development and new technologies. Consequently, we seek an individual with a sound technical background and attention to detail, as well as an interest in methodological innovation. You will have at least an HNC or equivalent level qualification in a biomedical or engineering subject. Previous experience of working in a biomedical or biosciences laboratory is preferred. Practical experience of using EEG with adults and/or children is highly desired. The salary for this post will be £27,057-£32,277 pro rata, and appointment will be on a part-time basis (0.5 FTE) for 1.5 years. The closing date for applications is 1 Nov 2015.
