Computational neuroscience, AI and SI: deadlines June 26 and July 26 - National PhD in AI
*Call:* Are you fascinated by the intriguing intersection of Computational Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence? Do you find yourself captivated by groundbreaking concepts such as neurotech, neuromorphic computing, and many-person neuroscience, among others? Are you intrigued by the vast potential of artificial intelligence in the realm of biomedical data modeling? If yes, we invite you to consider applying for one of the three exciting PhD positions available at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. In our enriching research and training program, you can delve into a wide spectrum of innovative domains ranging from Neurotech to Biomedical imaging and simulation, novel drug delivery systems and neuromodulation technology, physiological systems modeling, the future of AI-based radiation oncology planning, and HCP, among others. The possibilities for exploration, growth, and discovery are limitless, with opportunities to engage in both computational and experimental work tailored to align with your unique profile and interests. *Activities:* We are looking for enthusiastic, result-oriented graduates or postgraduates who are eager to immerse themselves in these pioneering research fields. Join our interdisciplinary team (https://fismed.uniroma2.it/) to contribute to a dynamic environment that thrives on collaboration, teamwork, and intellectual curiosity. As part of our team, you will engage in a range of activities from grant-writing and drafting of scientific publications to occasionally teaching at the university level. Moreover, you'll get the opportunity to collaborate at national and international levels and tackle challenging research problems that span across the physical, mathematical, computational, basic and clinical sciences. We are proud recipients of funding from renowned organizations such as the European Commission (Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe, EIC), the Italian National Ministry of Health, The Italian Association for Cancer research (AIRC), the US Department of Defense (DOD), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), as well as private institutions and foundations. *Profile:* You hold a Master's degree in Computational Neuroscience, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Physics, Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. You have a robust understanding of dynamical systems theory, computational neuroscience and/or AI. Desirable but not necessary: experience with neuroscience data, control systems, neural differential equations, and other related fields. You have a strong background in mathematics and Python programming skills, and are familiar with advanced machine learning libraries. You are passionate about research and exploration in the field. *Application:* To apply, send a brief motivation letter and a Curriculum Vitae to Prof. Nicola Toschi (toschi@med.uniroma2.it) and cc Dr. Andrea Duggento (andrea.duggento@uniroma2.eu).
