Dear colleagues, we have an open DFG-funded post-doc position for 3+2 years for the development of data infrastructure including storage, streaming and analysis tools for reproducible science based on the BIDS standard at our Neuroimaging Unit at University of Oldenburg, Germany. The position also includes user training and workshop organization. It is therefore complemented by a full time technician position for support. Best regards,       Jochem The Neuroimaging Unit at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Oldenburg is seeking to fill the position of a *Postdoctoral Research Associate (m/f/d) * (Salary level E13 TVL, 100%) *for the development of research data management and analyses based on the Brain Imaging Data Structure (BIDS) in the field of human neuroimaging* The position is part of a DFG funded Core Facility project and is available *as soon as possible* for a duration of three years (with the possibility to extend another two years after successful project evaluation). The position is suitable for part-time work. The Neuroimaging Unit hosts a state of the art MEG (Elekta Triux) and an MRI (Siemens Prisma 3T) and is embedded in an excellent interdisciplinary scientific environment with a strong research focus on neurosensory, neurocognitive, and health related research. The Department of Psychology was recently evaluated as the best in the state of Lower Saxony. The goal of the DFG Core Facility project is to integrate the brain imaging data structure (BIDS) standard in the data management in the Neuroimaging Unit for reproducible neuroscience and open data. The successful candidate will implement data handling and storage conforming to the BIDS standard, develop standardized data processing pipelines for reproducible data analysis, tools to enable meta-analyses, organize workshops on the topics, and participate in the development of the BIDS standard. Successful candidates are expected to have an academic university degree (Master or equivalent) in the field of computer science, engineering, neuroscience or psychology and have shown their ability to perform excellent scientific work, demonstrated by the outstanding quality of their doctorate/PhD research and an excellent publication record. Prior experience with one or more of the following is required: strong programming skills, BIDS, data management, experience with a neuroimaging modality (MRI, MEG or EEG). Fluency in English is required, German is desirable. The candidate must be a team worker and have excellent communication abilities.
