Fully funded PhD positions in computational neuroscience : modeling the complexity of neural oscillations
Dear Colleagues, Fully funded PhD positions are available in my group at the Lyon Neuroscience Research Center (CRNL), Lyon 1 University, starting in early 2027. The project (Modeling the Complexity of Neural Oscillations, MoCoNo) studies how oscillatory patterns in prefrontal cortex support cognition, and which circuit mechanisms generate them. It combines analysis of electrophysiological recordings with biophysical computational models of cortical circuits. We are looking for candidates with a Master's in computational neuroscience, physics, mathematics, computer science or a related field, strong programming skills, and an interest in data analysis or modelling. To apply, send a CV, a short motivation letter and the names of two referees to matteo.di-volo@univ-lyon1.fr before 31 October 2026. For more information about the project, feel free to contact me at the same address.
