two postdoctoral positions in mathematical neuroscience at Penn State
Dear colleagues, Two postdoctoral positions in mathematical neuroscience are available at the Mathematics Department of Penn State University. The postdoctoral researchers will be working on two separate projects: (1) understanding the neural coding and geometry of the olfactory representations, and (2) modeling and analysis of zebrafish data. Both projects will involve research in the area of applied topology, neural networks and neural coding, spanning theory and applications. Applicants with a background in topology, algebra, combinatorics, geometry, or dynamical systems are encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely-related field is required. Applicants should submit their materials via mathjobs site: https://www.mathjobs.org/jobs?joblist-134-16862 The start date is flexible. The review of applications will begin on December 2nd and continue until the position is filled. Please contact the PIs, Carina Curto (ccurto@psu.edu) and Vladimir Itskov (vladimir.itskov@psu.edu) for more details. Best, Vladimir Itskov
