The Neuroscience Department invites applications for a postdoctoral research position to work with Professors Ila Fiete (http://clm.utexas.edu/fietelab/) and Thibaud Taillefumier (https://mathneuro.cns.utexas.edu/) in the Center for Theoretical and Computational Neuroscience (CTNC) and in collaboration with a network of experimental collaborators at UT Austin. Research at CTNC broadly aims at developing new theoretical approaches to better understand how the brain computes. Candidates with a background in nonlinear dynamics, statistical physics, machine learning, or information theory are particularly welcome. Applicants should have a PhD in mathematics, physics, computational neuroscience or related computational fields.
