Applications are invited for a Research Associate (Postdoc) to work on an exciting project in auditory cognitive neuroscience at Imperial College London. The successful candidate will join the group of Tobias Reichenbach (http://www.bg.ic.ac.uk/research/reichenbach). The project involves collaboration with clinical collaborators at Imperial College, and is further embedded in the Centre for Neurotechnology at Imperial College (http://www3.imperial.ac.uk/neurotechnology). The project's goal is to develop experimental paradigms and associated data analytics to extract electrophysiological correlates from the brainstem and the cortex in response to speech. Electrophysiological responses will be obtained from auditory-brainstem recordings (ABR) and from electroencephalography (EEG). The developed methods will then be employed to compare differences in neural responses to speech in healthy people and in people with different cognitive impairments. Applicants should have a PhD in physical sciences, engineering, neuroscience or computing with experience in signal processing as well as neuroimaging. For an informal discussion please contact Dr Tobias Reichenbach (email: reichenbach@imperial.ac.uk <mailto:a.kedgley@imperial.ac.uk>; telephone: +44 (0)20 759 46370). Our preferred method of application is online via the Imperial College website at www.imperial.ac.uk/employment where you will find a job description and person specification for this post. Please select "Job Search", then enter the job title or vacancy reference number EN20150333FH into "Keywords". Complete and upload an application form as directed.
