Dear all, We invite candidatures for a PhD position in the Inria MathNeuro Team <http://team.inria.fr/mathneuro> (Sophia Antipolis, France) on Multi-scale modeling of cortical spreading depression. We are looking for candidates with some notions of dynamical systems and neuronal modeling. The project will involve detailed biophysical modeling as well as model reduction and a mathematical analysis of reduced models (in particular their bifurcation and slow-fast structure). Familiarity with programming will be a strong point for the selection process of candidates. The project will be pursued in collaboration with the experimental lab of Massimo Mantegazza at the Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology Institute (IPMC, Sophia Antipolis, France).
