Please forward this mail to any undergraduate or masters students you think may be interested. *** RESEARCH *** Our group uses computational modelling to try to understand synaptic plasticity, learning and memory. We want to understand how brains learn, so study everything from molecular signalling at synapses to learning dynamics in neural circuits. We also have interests in developing analysis tools for neural population data, and in understanding what goes wrong in brain disorders such as Autism. There will be many opportunities to collaborate with experimental neurobiologists both locally at the excellent Bristol MRC Centre for Synaptic Plasticity (http://www.bris.ac.uk/synaptic/) and internationally with colleagues in Europe, USA and Japan.
