Dear all, We are happy to announce our FENS satellite symposium "Understanding Neural Circuit Evolution" which will be taking place July 7-8, 2022, in Paris and online. Registration for attending in person or remotely is open until June 23, 2022. The FENS satellite symposium "Understanding Neural Circuit Evolution" will present exciting lines of research into neural circuit evolution from paleobiology to computational neuroscience and to the molecular and genetic generation of neuro-behavioral diversity. Organized by the German Research Foundation Priority Program "Evolutionary Optimization of Neuronal Processing"<https://www.uni-goettingen.de/de/618311.html>, the symposium is designed to make the full spectrum of progress in neural circuit evolution accessible to a wide neuroscience audience. We aim to build bridges between computational, experimental, and paleobiological research approaches, and to foster integrative studies of neural circuit evolution. On July 7 the event starts with an online poster session. On July 8 there are exciting talks on the program, e.g. by Mitya Chklovskii (Flatiron Institute, New York, USA), Maude Baldwin (MPI Biological Intelligence, Seewiesen, Germany), and Lucia Prieto Godino (Francis Crick Institute, London, UK). The symposium is designed as a hybrid event. Registration will be open until June 23, 2022. For further information on program and registration see https://www.uni-goettingen.de/de/660201.html We are very much looking forward to meeting you in Paris (or on the internet). **************** Dr. Britta Korkowsky Coordinator Goettingen Campus Institute for Dynamics of Biological Networks (CIDBN) Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience Goettingen Graduate Program in Theoretical and Computational Neuroscience SPP 2205 Evolutionary Optimization of Neuronal Processing University of Goettingen Heinrich-Düker-Weg 12 37073 Göttingen Tel.: +49-551-39-26675
