1. Analysis of intracortical microelectrode and ECoG recordings of people with paralysis and non-human primate models of neurological injuries and disorders.
2. Leveraging the gained knowledge to develop and advance methods for brain-controlled neuroprostheses.
The successful applicant will be supervised by Dr. Tomislav Milekovic, a junior group leader under the senior supervision of Prof. Christoph Michel.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Background in computational/theoretical neuroscience, physics or mathematics
2. Experience in the quantitative analysis of electrophysiological neural signals (EEG, ECoG, LFP, spikes)
3. Expertise in development and testing of data processing and decoding computational algorithms for brain-computer interfaces
4. Experience in using computer clusters
5. Experience in Matlab
The qualified candidate will benefit from joining a very dynamic and multidisciplinary group working at the interface of neuroscience, engineering and prosthetics.
