*FACULTY POSITION*
*Neuroscience**NYU Shanghai*
Shanghai New York University (NYU Shanghai) invites applications for several
assistant
(tenure-track), associate (tenured), and full professor (tenured) positions from
candidates with
research programs in systems, computational, and cognitive neuroscience. The
recruited faculty will also become members of a new neuroscience research
institute, with the primary goal of understanding the mechanisms by which
neural circuits in the brain generate cognition and flexible behavior.
Neuroscientists at NYU Shanghai will also have the opportunity to interact and collaborate
with researchers in Economics, Mathematics, Data Science and Engineering.
Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. or equivalent by the time of application.
The successful candidates will be expected to develop an independent, extramurally-funded research
program, play a key role in the growth of the new Neuroscience Institute, and
to teach in NYU Shanghai. Applications should be submitted by January 1, 2014
for appointments to begin as early as July 2014.

and teaching. NYU Shanghai faculty will also have the opportunity to be affiliated with the Center for Neural Science, the Neuroscience
Institute of the NYU School of Medicine, the Department of Psychology, and/or
with other suitable academic units at NYU New York.
The terms of employment in NYU Shanghai are comparable to U.S. institutions in
terms of research startup funds and compensation, and include housing and
