The Nandy lab and the Jadi lab in the Departments of Neuroscience & Psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine have an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Associate, to investigate the neural mechanisms of perception and attention.
Applicants with the following skills are particularly encouraged to apply: (a) research background in cognitive, systems, or computational neuroscience, (b) expertise in electrophysiology in behaving animals, and/or (c) highly quantitative data analytic skills (possibly including computational modeling). The candidate will carry out high-density multi-areal electrophysiological recordings while animals are engaged in attention-demanding visual tasks. The individual will be required to train animals, generate electrophysiological data, and perform advanced statistical data analyses and modeling in a highly collaborative research environment.
This is a multi-year fully funded position. The initial appointment will be for a period of 1 year, with scope for multi-year renewal subject to satisfactory progress. Candidates will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
