The Computational Neuroscience Group at the Centre de Recerca Matemàtica in Bellaterra (Barcelona), Spain, is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to model dynamics, plasticity and learning in hippocampal circuits. The goal is to understand how sensory-driven activity in areas CA3 and CA1 during spatial exploration leads to memory formation in rodents. The work involves network modelling as well as the analysis of in-vivo electrophysiological and calcium imaging data provided by experimental collaborators.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, such as in Computational Neuroscience, Applied Mathematics, Physics or similar. To apply, please send a CV, letter of motivation and the names of two references to Alex Roxin at aroxin@crm.cat Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Pre-application inquiries are also welcome.
