We seek self-motivated, innovative and creative candidates with a PhD in a relevant field (or equivalent experience), expertise in at least some of the above techniques, excellent communication skills, and an ability to work independently and in a team. We encourage applications from diverse academic backgrounds, such as biology, neuroscience, experimental psychology, computer science, physics and engineering.
Of special note to the comp-neuro email list, we would be particularly keen to hire someone with expertise in computational neuroscience. We seek to tie computational models of what plasticity rules would be ‘optimal’ for memory, with experiments testing whether the real brain actually uses these ‘optimal’ rules.
