The Functional Brain Mapping (FBM) facility at the Intelligent Systems Research Centre (ISRC), Ulster University, has an available 2-year fixed term Research Assistant in Neuro-imaging Technology post. Duties and responsibilities of the successful postholder will include conducting periodic tests, maintenance of magnetoencephalography (MEG) system, and management of patients while ensuring their safety. S/he will assist with the supervision of health and safety, risk management, and standard operating procedures pertaining to all activities in the FBM facility.

All applicants should hold a degree in bio-medical engineering, medical physics, neuroscience, psychology, medicine, biomedical sciences or a closely related discipline, or a higher degree in the same or related subjects. Applicants are expected to be trained in the fundamentals and applications of MEG technology, and have clinical experience in a MEG lab used as part of a neurophysiology clinic. Successful applicants will be based primarily at the FBM facility at the ISRC with opportunities to interact with other related research teams and clinicians.
