The Cognitive Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence Lab (CogNeuroAI Lab) at the University of Western Ontario in Canada, Department of Computer Science & the Brain and Mind Institute (BMI) has two MSc/PhD position openings in the field of cognitive computational neuroscience to start in January or May 2020. The positions offer a competitive stipend for the graduate students. The nature of these positions will provide the graduate students with opportunities to work on interdisciplinary collaborative projects.
We are looking for motivated students to join exciting projects in our lab in developing cutting-edge computational methods to analyze brain MEG/EEG/fMRI data. We also train state of the art compute vision models and compare human brain MEG/EEG/fMRI data with inter units of the models. Candidates should have at least a Bachelors or Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Computer Science or related fields. Having good programming skills in MATLAB, Python, and deep learning frameworks like Pytorch and experience in machine learning, compute vision, neuroscience experiments or brain data analysis will be a plus. Though there are lots of opportunities to learn these skills as well.
