The Herz-Lab at LMU Munich has an opening for a postdoc/research associate in theoretical neuroscience. The lab focuses on a range of topics related to the neural basis of spatial navigation. Potential projects include the study of experimental data provided by collaboration partners, computational modeling at the network level, as well as mathematical theory. A solid background in nonlinear dynamics and/or theoretical physics is expected, and a willingness to go off the beaten track is encouraged.
We are located on the vibrant Martinsried-Campus of LMU, next to the Max-Planck-Institute for Biological Intelligence (MPI-BI). The Herz-Lab forms part of the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience Munich (BCCN), the Graduate School for Systemic Neuroscience (GSN), and the Munich Center for Neuroscience (MCN).
For details, please get in touch with me via herz@bio.lmu.de or meet me at the 2023 Bernstein Conference in Berlin.
Best regards
Andreas Herz
