Applications are invited for a postdoctoral scholar position in the Savin group at NYU. 

We are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic researcher with a

strong quantitative background (e.g. Math, Physics, Computer Science) and

experience in Neuroscience research and/or Machine Learning.

 

The lab uses theoretical tools based on machine learning and statistics 

to study the neural correlates of learning and memory at the circuit level.

Potential topics include:

- probabilistic computation in neural circuits and its neural signatures, 

with a focus on learning

- circuit level models of memory that aim to explain human memory behavior  

The postdoc will be part of a large and intellectually vibrant

community of researchers from the Center for Neuroscience 

and the Centre for Data Science at NYU.  

The position is funded for 2 years, with an initial one-year

appointment and expectation of extension contingent on satisfactory

progress.
