Data analysis competitions will be held prior to the Biomag 2024 conference. The aim of these competitions is to promote the development and application of reproducible analysis techniques. We hope this will help to elucidate pros and cons of different techniques and attract expertise from both within and beyond the MEG field. If your team has a dataset to share and/or some analysis challenges to tackle, this would be a great opportunity to open it up to the conference attendees - please don't hesitate to reach out and submit a proposal. We anticipate having 2-3 challenges this year. The deadline for submitting proposals to host these competitions is *15 November 2023*.
Successful data analysis competition proposals will receive a complimentary conference registration (i.e. waiver for one organiser per competition).
Data analysis submission guidelines:
We invite proposals for organising data analysis competitions for BIOMAG 2024. The aim of the competitions is to promote the development and application of reproducible analysis techniques.
The proposal submission must include a description of the task and instructions on how participants can access the data and submit their entries.
The competition organisers are responsible for all aspects of running the competition (e.g. providing the data, receiving entries, answering queries from participants, and selecting the winners).
The data analysis competitions will be open to participants from December 2023 to June 2024, and the winners will be announced during the conference.
We prioritise proposals based on how well they align with the aims of the conference but the committee, as a non-profit conference, we welcome any sponsorships arrangements for prizes for your competition.
Donβt miss your chance to impart your expertise and research at the BIOMAG Conference 2024. Submit your symposium proposal now for review and potential inclusion in the conference program.
