A PhD position is available at the Institute of Neuroscience, Newcastle University (Newcastle upon Tyne, UK).
The project will investigate the utility of quantitative EEG as a confirmatory biomarker of dementia with Lewy bodies versus Alzheimer's disease, and will also include multimodal neuroimaging with DTI and MRI. This is a 3-year PhD funded by the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre at Newcastle University.
The potential candidate will be based within the Lewy body Lab at the Campus for Ageing and Vitality (
www.lewybodylab.org) with a strong collaboration with the Dynamic Connectome Lab (
http://www.dynamic-connectome.org/). The PhD candidate will be supervised by Dr Luis R. Peraza, Dr John-Paul Taylor and Prof Marcus Kaiser.
