Columbia University's Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute is seeking a research software engineer to work closely with both computational and experimental neuroscience labs within the Zuckerman Institute (https://zuckermaninstitute.columbia.edu/) and the International Brain Lab (https://www.internationalbrainlab.com/) to help develop and maintain cutting edge software tools for the analysis of large-scale behavioral video data.
Other responsibilities include:
• Assist labs with deploying this software in their data processing pipelines
• Respond to user issues provided through various channels (Github issues, Discord, Slack) by providing bug fixes
• Engage in software dissemination efforts including written documentation, video tutorials, and assisting with workshops
• Assist machine learning researchers in incorporating new algorithms into the software
