We are seeking extremely motivated applicants for a Human Brain Project-funded postdoc position in the laboratory of Michele Migliore (Palermo, Italy), in collaboration with the Neurosim laboratory at State University of New York Downstate (Brooklyn, USA).

 

The project involves working with a large-scale biologically-detailed simulation of hippocampal CA1 circuit (https://www.humanbrainproject.eu/en/brain-simulation/hippocampus/), the EBRAINS Brain Simulation Platform (https://ebrains.eu/services/simulation/brain-simulation) and the NetPyNE modeling tool (www.netpyne.org). The position will be based in Palermo, but travel to the collaborating lab in New York will be possible. 

 

A PhD in Computational Neuroscience, Physics, Informatics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field is required. The position is funded by the EU Human Brain Project. Salary follows the National Research Council scale for pre or post-doctoral status. The ideal candidate will have a consolidated experience in Python, NEURON and large-scale biologically-detailed simulations of brain circuits.
