The Biocomputation group at the University of Hertfordshire is looking for a data scientist / ML / AI expert to join the interdisciplinary BioMachineLearning team working in computational olfaction.

Whether your background is in computational neuroscience, neuromorphic computing, electronic noses, robotics, data wrangling, even cheminformatics: There is a project for you where you can bring your full expertise to blossom in a collaborative environment.

Our lab is embedded in the Odor2Action Network (https://odor2action.org ), a research consortium of 16 labs in the US, UK, and Canada, investigating how animals use odours to guide behaviour. There will be opportunities for travel to project meetings, conferences, etc. It is also possible to organise stays at one of our partner labs.

We embrace flexible working, both in terms of working hours and the possibility to work from home (with the requirement to work from within the UK).
