in the Department of Neurobiology at Duke University (Durham, NC,

USA), to work on theoretical models of learning in the cerebellum. The

position is funded by a Brain Initiative NIH grant to a collaboration

between Steve Lisberger (Duke), Court Hull (Duke), Javier Medina

(Baylor), and Nicolas Brunel, whose goal is to infer learning rules

used by the cerebellum using electrophysiological and imaging data of multiple

cell types recorded in different animals and different motor

tasks. Applicants should have a strong background in computational

neuroscience, physics and/or applied mathematics. Prior experience

with computational neuroscience is a plus, but it is not

required. Applications will be considered until the position is

filled. The ideal starting date is before the end of 2019. To
