A joint postdoctoral position is available in the labs of Amy Finn, Katherine Duncan, and
Christopher Honey in the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto. We are
seeking a colleague who is interested in understanding how the human brain learns new
sequential structure and how this changes with development. This unique collaboration will use
computational modeling and neuroimaging to characterize the roles that subcortical learning
and memory systems play in the development of statistical learning. The ideal candidate will
have experience in cognitive neuroscience, strong quantitative training and an interest in
systems of learning and memory as well as their development.
The University of Toronto, typically ranked as one of the world's top 20 research universities, is
located in downtown Toronto. The city is one of the most liveable and cosmopolitan cities in the
world, and has a vibrant academic and biomedical community. This full-time position with
benefits is fully funded for two years with an initial appointment of one year. There is also the
possibility of extending the position beyond the first two funded years by applying for outside
fellowships, such as the Canadian Institute of Health Research Fellowships, which are open to
international trainees. The start date is flexible.
