-------- Forwarded Message --------
Dear
colleagues,
I would like
to draw your
attention to
our Summer
School for
Primate
Cognitive
Neuroscience
2026,
organized by
Hans
Scherberger,
Alexander
Gail, Igor
Kagan,
Raymundo
Báez-Mendoza,
and Stefan
Treue from the
German Primate
Center in
Göttingen,
taking place
July 26 -
August 07,
2026, in Bad
Bevensen,
Germany (see:
http://www.dpz.eu/pcn2026).
In light of
the
approaching
deadline for
application
(February 28,
2026), I would
be grateful if
you could
distribute
this
information to
suitable PhD
students and
postdocs in
your reach.
This Summer
School is for
PhD students
and early
postdocs from
the field of
primate
cognitive and
systems
neuroscience
working with
non-human
primates and
will provide
an outstanding
training and
networking
opportunity
for young
researchers.
Teaching will
focus on
cognitive
processes in
primate
sensory and
motor systems
as well as on
social
settings and
decision
making, and
will include
important and
novel results
and
methodologies.
Topics of
animal
welfare,
ethics, and
media outreach
will also be
covered. A
poster
presentation
about current
research of
the
participant is
expected.
Student
selection is
competitive!
Since this
School is
partially
funded, only a
reduced
participation
fee is
required (1000
EUR) for this
10-day course.
Also, a
limited number
of travel
grants might
be available
for
international
participants.
I would be
very grateful
if you could
forward this
information to
suitable PhD
students and
postdocs in
your lab and
to other labs.
With best
regards,
Hans
Scherberger
(on behalf of
all
organizers;
sorry in case
of multiple
postings!)
