Tenure-Track Faculty Position in machine learning and computational neuroscience

The Center for Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence (CNAI) and the Department of Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine invite applications for a faculty position in machine learning or computational neuroscience. A major goal of the Center is to decipher the brain’s algorithms of perception, learning, motor control and cognition, and to test these algorithms in real-world machine learning applications. The Center aims to advance the field of artificial intelligence and to revolutionize how machine learning impacts society.

We are seeking applications at the assistant professor level, but accomplished mid-career or senior scientists at the level of associate or full professor with strong records of research productivity, grant support and a demonstrated collaborative spirit are also encouraged to apply. Research interests may focus on any area related to machine learning and computational neuroscience.

The Center for Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence and The Department of Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine are located within a dynamic, collaborative research environment on the Texas Medical Center, with one of the highest densities of clinical, translational, and basic science research facilities in the world. The Neuroscience Department, including primary and affiliated faculty, is a vibrant community with strong ties to Rice University, the Neurological Research Institute (NRI), the University of Texas Health Sciences, and the University of Houston. CNAI has a strong partnership with NeuroEngineering and Data Science faculty at Rice University, and joint appointments with relevant departments at Rice University are possible.
